So, first problem - the 6th file doesn't have 6 pictures! But I will just blog about the pictures in the file ----
This is a bit of Texas winter weather! We had a wonderfully mild winter, but a couple times it did get quite cold! I just love the little frost on the leaves so I had to take a picture. Then I just decided to take a couple more pictures of the neighbors house and icicles on the roofs --- puny I know -- but hey we got em! hahaha! It is just fun for a little change of scenery so I just have to pull out the camera and document it! The kids actually missed school because of it too! It is quite hilarious to me that they cancel school - calling it an ice day! When up in the north the snow is 6 ft and the kids walk to school --- ha just kidding. But really and truly I think the northern move ins think us Texans are wimps when we cancel school for icy roads. However, I loved the extra day to have the kids stay home with me, and have absolutely nowhere to go and no one to show up unexpected - we had a great day! And for the record because our icy weather is so far in between we don't have the equipment in our cities to clear the roads and such. So, really it is quite dangerous - especially out here in the country where we are - the bus routes have winding, scary little passages that are covered in ice and it wouldn't be safe. People slide off the road and stuff. So, anyway, that's that! Fun to blog about --- I would have never mentioned it before because it was pretty insignificant - but like I said it was a little blessing for me - I loved having my kids home for the day and it all melted by the next day! So, it is a good start to get me blogging again and also good to think of other things today! I had kinda a frustrating day! So, thanks again Kristyn!

Be MINE! Love is in the Air!

Hey blogging world!! I want to take a minute to say how much i love my husband and kids!! What a fun day we had today! Well, actually it didn't start out so great! We have been so sick -- non-stop since before Christmas - Nathan and Tori and I all have it now it seems! Coughing, fevers, sore throat, etc. Anyway, so I missed church today and kept the baby and the boys home! But, I had a great time reading my scriptures and learning about the gifts of the spirit. Anyway, then today is my friend Melanie Murphy's birthday!! We had them over for dinner and then made it back to her house for some amazing cake!! AMAZING Lemon with Raspberry filling!! oooohhh so yummy!! Funny thing is - we were sick but so was her husband so we decided it didn't matter anyway, we just wanted to celebrate her big day!! hahaha! But, anyway, I just wanted to say that my boys are so cute! They just played together all morning - star wars legos. Then later this evening Whitney said - can we make Valentine's for each other - so we did! It was so fun and I read some cute little messages they had written each other --- which led me to being so happy and so thankful for today! Whitney wrote a message to Kimball that said - I love you in cute little 1st grade handwriting and then at the bottom it said FOREVER! Ahh.. so sweet and then --- to my surprise, Nathan wrote a sweet little message to me -- OHHH wow! What a fun time and what a great day it turned out to be!! Anyway, I just love Valentine's! What a fun month of love and sweet notes back and forth! I don't even care about getting gifts - its just fun to sit around the table and tell why we love each person and then get little handwritten love letters from each other!!
So, not much new to speak of. Everyone is just growing up, having a great time in school and I am just busy keeping up with the house work, laundry, errands, diapers, spills, meals, and meetings!! I enjoy getting up to the school for lunch or events and I have been able to go to the park with Collin and Tori a couple times - since we have had a really great mild winter! So, life is good and crazy - just the way I like it!! I could go for better nights -- I wish all the kids could just stay asleep all night long for 2 nights in a row -- that would be awesome! If it isn't Tori or Collin, it is Kimball with a bad dream or Abby and Whitney complaining of stomache aches or leg pain! Any advice for a little 5 year old boy who dreams of snakes and now wants to sleep with daddy every night - because, "He is the only one that can kill them!" So sad!!

well, happy valentine's to all those who may read this post!! You are loved!
